Dr. Eaton completed public education in Rochester, Minnesota. He
served with the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers (1968-70) in Nellingen,
Germany, receiving an honorable discharge.
Undergraduate education was completed at the University of
Missouri, Columbia, and he received his Doctor of Medicine degree
from Rush Medical College in Chicago. Residency training was done
at Northwestern University Medical Center.
Following a practice in Emergency Medicine in Chicago, in 1998 Dr.
Eaton underwent a comprehensive preceptorship training program in
Phlebology with Dr. Brian McDonagh, and later became Medical
Director in Milwaukee where he has continuously practiced this
specialty.
He previously served on the Board of Directors of the Venous
Research Foundation and is a contributing author of several
significant publications dealing with vein disease. He has an active
academic interest in venous medicine and has presented original
research here, in Canada, and in Europe. He is board certified in
Phlebology, he is a Fellow of the American College of Phlebology
(FACPh) and a Fellow of the American Society of Angiology (FASA)
for his many academic contributions to venous disease.
Dr. Brian McDonagh, a pioneer in the field of varicose veins (a specialty now known as Phlebology) is a native of
Ireland. He completed Medical Education in Dublin before moving to the United States for post-graduate
training. He became interested in vein disease when his surgical friends discouraged him from undergoing vein
surgery, even though he had extensive varicose veins and advanced symptoms.
Taking the clue from his surgical associates, he returned to Dublin and underwent sclerotherapy at Sir Patrick
Dunn's Hospital. He had rapid and dramatic results. Shortly thereafter, intrigued with his own non-surgical
results, he pursued self-education in the treatment of varicose veins, receiving instruction from the European
Masters. Eventually, his practice focused exclusively on vein disease.
He is the founder of Vein Clinics of America (1981), the first multi-clinic specialty group in the United States
devoted exclusively to the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of varicose veins. Dr. McDonagh is responsible
for the training of scores of Phlebologists, including Dr. Eaton. McDonagh pursued the documentation of venous
hemodynamics and pathology as prerequisite to appropriate and effective treatment, known as comprehensive
duplex ultrasound mapping. Through Vein Clinics of America, he trained numerous ultrasonographers who have
the experience and skills to perform this sophisticated diagnostic ultrasound. Many of these Sonographers and
Phlebologists have become leaders in the field and continue to contribute to the science and education of
venous diseases worldwide. McDonagh developed an effective non-surgical treatment protocol to ablate large
varicose veins, known as COMPASS, and published the first valid, peer-reviewed article demonstrating the
effectiveness of this method.
Years ago he identified the most frequent cause of Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS) and the most effective
treatment to date; curing or dramatically improving most cases. He is responsible for the accelerated program
for the effective treatment of venous leg ulcers and was invited to present his effective treatment techniques

Vida Savickiene, M.D., a native of Moletai, Lithuania, completed her
medical education studies at Vilnius University, receiving her Medical
Doctor Diploma at the Medical Faculty in 1987.
She was a staff physician for 10 years at a large Emergency Station in
Vilnius before moving to the United States. Her field of specialization was
Pediatric Medicine, in which she earned the prestigious academic rank of
“Highest Degree”.
In 2001, she completed Vascular Ultrasound studies at the Technical School
of Medicine in Chicago, and completed General/Small Parts ultrasound in
2002. She received additional training at the Access Health Center and at
Weiss Memorial Hospital, both in Chicago. She has completed advanced
studies in ultrasonography and has earned the degree of Registered
Vascular Technologist.
Vida has six years experience exclusively in the field of venous ultrasound
imaging and diagnostics. Vida is a highly respected training
ultrasonographer in venous medicine, and she is, along with Dr. Eaton, co-
author of a scientific study, Chronic Venous Insufficiency: The Morphology
of Disease- Lessons Learned from 200 Duplex Mappings, presented to the
Canadian Society of Phlebology, October 2003, Montreal.
In addition to her native Lithuanian, she is fluent in both the Russian and
English languages. She lives with her family in Hainesville, Illinois. All other
interests and hobbies have been put aside in preference for her new
grandson, Andrew.
As a former office manager and executive assistant, Karen brings a wealth
of knowledge to our team. Her exemplary office skills help keep us
organized and proficient here. In addition to providing us with excellent
patient communication skills and maintaining our peaceful environment,
Karen has volunteered for the Wisconsin Chapter of the Crohns and
Colitis Foundation, and has served on the Board of Trustees.
Karen was born and raised in Vermont and attended Champlain College in
Burlington where she studied Dental Assisting and Business. While
growing up, she played piano and alto saxophone in the high school band
and performed in a stage band. She also was very involved with her
family's horses.
She has been in Wisconsin for ten years and her son, Michael, attends
college nearby. Karen enjoys spending time with her family, baking,
reading and spending time walking and playing with their two golden
retrievers. Her favorite hobby is gardening; she is recognized as a
Certified Master Gardener.
Born Boguslawa Maria Bierczynska in Lubaczow, Poland, she has now
become known simply as Bo. Her parents met and married in Italy having
been displaced there following World War II.
Bo studied nursing and spent many years assisting the surgeons at her
city’s hospital. Eventually, her father’s dream of going to America became
her dream. This was finally realized in 1987 when she arrived in Chicago
with very little money and a strong desire to work. Having a healthcare
background from Poland, she eventually met Dr. Eaton and, as you might
have guessed, they were married.
Bo continued to study English and has worked at Harper College and for a
Chicago law firm. She brings a unique and charming approach to patients
and always works for their best interests. In addition to her native Polish,
she speaks English and Russian, and does quite well with most of the
Slavic languages, while her Swedish, German and Italian are getting rusty.
Natallia comes from Minsk, Belarus. She is a graduate of Prestigious
University in Minsk with majors in Management and Economics.
Following completion of her studies, she worked at a large shopping
mall in central Minsk for 18 years. She was Chief Operations Manager
for the last 7 years before immigrating to the United States.
She is a great addition to our team and her attention to detail and
management skills have been very useful in her new position at
Mequon Vascular.
Natallia and her family have lived in Wisconsin since 2004. She lives
with her husband and son, Sergei, a student at UWM. She enjoys
reading good books and playing tennis with her husband. As well has
her native Russian, she is fluent in the Polish language and continues
to work diligently on English, the most difficult of them all.
