In the community of physicians interested in seeing and treating venous disorders, Tom Eaton, MD,  stands out as knowledgeable, dedicated, remarkably honest and highly ethical. We meet now and have met in the past at medical meetings where vein problems are discussed. He speaks out from the vantage of experience and asks penetrating question that seek to clarify obscure concepts. I can recommend him as a treating physician without hesitation.

I met Dr. Tom Eaton, in his clinic in Wisconsin, in 2003 and was impressed with his knowledge about the new minimally invasive treatments for chronic venous insufficiency. He really masters these new techniques which are here to stay and improve the treatment of varicose veins. Tom is a talented educator for both his patients and the treating team (physicians, nurses and technicians).
We still keep in touch and update each other.

I had the opportunity to spend two weeks with Dr. Tom Eaton in his office in 2004. During this time I observed and joined in the diagnostic ultrasound assessment and first hand excellent treatment of venous insufficiency and related varicose veins and even venous ulcers. Dr. Eaton is not only a dedicated Phlebologist who excelled at the fine art of “Duplex guided sclerotherapy” but also a very good friend and a leader who managed to establish a wonderful working environment in his office where his exceptional staff loves him and reflects their competence in the patient care and treatment.
I enjoyed my stay with Tom and his staff very much and I got a feeling of being one of them as if I had been working there for many years. I use this invaluable knowledge and experience I gained in his office everyday since I came back to Sweden where I live and work as a consultant cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon.

I strongly  recommend Dr. Eaton as a passionate and wonderful physician to every single patient with venous problems and even to every physician who has an interest in vein diseases and learn Phlebology from a “Guru“.

My treatment with Doctor Eaton changed my life. I have had many years of vascular problems and painful treatments and none worked, until I started working with Dr. Eaton. I had heavy leg syndrome, swelling all of the time, and they were just plain ugly. When my treatment was done with Dr. Eaton my legs did not feel heavy anymore. I had no idea I could feel like that. I was running up and down the stairs, not feeling as if I had been pulling 75 pounds after myself. My restless legs at night were fine. The fact is that this summer I could put shorts on and not feel as if people were looking at me as if I was disfigured. My right leg was treated first in March of 05 and the left leg was treated in May of O5. I went through some injections following my laser treatment and now as the months are passing my calf looks normal in color and shape, and my thighs do not ache, and best of all I do not have swelling around my knees anymore.  I do not know how to thank Dr. Eaton and his wonderful staff.  His word is Golden. So after 20 years of not wearing shorts I get the benefit of nice looking legs and the best part is my health is great because of the perfect circulation I now have.    --CZ

Dear Dr. Eaton and Staff,

Several weeks have passed since my last visit to your office and I am compelled to let you know how well I am doing. My symptoms have dissipated considerably and my active lifestyle is in high gear. More importantly, I wanted you to know that your confidence in your ability to improve my condition is contagious and renewed my own faith in the Medical Profession. I have never had so much confidence in anyone. Nor have I met a Physician that had as much compassion for his patients as you do. Thank you.

You, your staff and facilities are absolutely first class and I am so happy to have met you and received your treatments. I wish you all the best in your continued efforts to improve the vascular performance of your patients.

May our paths cross again, even if just to say hi. Again, many thanks for everything.

To Dr. Eaton's patients who are considering TriVex ®, also called TIPP or Trans-illuminated Powered Phlebectomy.

Years ago I had vein surgery on my right leg. That didn’t do anything. I first consulted with Dr. Eaton about 4 years ago. With ultrasound, he showed me why the surgery didn’t work (the surgeon missed both the great and the short saphenous veins). Unfortunately, my insurance didn’t cover Dr. Eaton’s treatment, so another surgeon suggested having the TriVex procedure.  That was one of the biggest health mistakes I've ever made.  The TriVex tool not only took out the vein, but some connective tissue also leaving permanent indentations in my leg.  The pain after the procedure lasted weeks, and it was severe!  For about a year I was left with "ropes" under the skin where the vein used to be.  My surgeon told me this was normal.  I had to massage my ropes with ointment every day for about a year for them to go away.

This summer I went back to see Dr. Eaton. A repeat ultrasound again showed that the main veins had still not been treated! No wonder I was still having so much pain!

It has been two months now since having endovenous laser treatment and sclerotherapy with Dr. Eaton.  I could not be more pleased.  The main procedure itself took only about an hour.  The only "pain" I felt was the injection to numb my leg.  I was achy the evening of the procedure, but felt good enough to go back to work in a couple of days.

Having gone through 2 previous surgeries on my right leg, I consider myself somewhat of an expert on varicose vein treatment.  Dr. Eaton's methods are by far superior to anything I tried in the past.  Visiting his office is a pleasant experience.  I've been there several times and his staff treats you like family.  My leg now has some bruising, but the veins are disappearing nicely.  I expect in a couple of months my leg will be totally healed.  I am about to start treatment on my other leg and I'm looking forward to it.

I have given Dr. Eaton permission for anyone considering TriVex (or stripping) to give me a call.  I'd be happy to give you my opinion on all three treatments.  --KD, RN

I wish to Thank You and your staff for the vein procedure that I received. I was initially very skeptical about having it done because I’ve seen other individuals that had vein stripping applied. They were in considerable pain for quite some time. Your procedure, as a whole, set my mind at ease. You and your staff also impressed me with professionalism and respect. The procedure had virtually no discomfort associated with it. I was able to return to work with very little time lost. I was shocked because I was expecting considerable pain. I was fully functional with no problems. The vein swelling in my left leg dissipated in time as you said it would. I have recommended your procedure to numerous individuals who have asked about it. It is definitely the best way to go.   --PEK
